Adobe Photoshop CS3 – 2 Day Class - $495

Photoshop is the world’s most popular image editor. From photography to fine art, from video editing to web design, Photoshop is an indispensible tool for today’s designer. We will start with core concepts such as monitor calibration and move on to Photoshop signature features (layers, masks, channels) which are so essential in mastering the program. We will examine image acquisition, resolution issues, color modes, and file formats. We will explore photoshop’s built in layer styles, and its vast array of filters. Some of today’s most popular effects will be deconstructed in class. We will then examine web design with Image Ready 3.0 covering such issues as rollovers, image maps, slices, animation, and optimization.

Prerequisites
Because of the amount of material we cover in class, we do require students to be comfortable using a mouse, opening and saving files, and the general operations of computers. While we will make every reasonable effort to help, students with insufficient skills may be required to observe the class lessons or do their best to keep up without slowing down the rest of the class.
