Basics of Audio Workshop - 1 Day Class - $295

Audio is one of the most underated elements of an effective video. With out proper audio it might as well be silent movies. This one-day workshop covers the basic vocabulary and practice of audio for video production through demonstrations, screenings and exercises. We will focus on the underlying principles of Audio for video while finding solutions for the practical problems, including those inherent in the low-budget production. Through exercises we will set up different audio schemes, including audio for interviews, news gathering, narrative style videos.Microphone choices, power, placement and use will be covered for a variety of audio situations. Additionally, your encouraged to bring your own equipment so you can develop strategies for real world situations . The goal of this class will be to help you to take control of the craft of audio for video so that it can enhance your video productions.

Pre-Requisites
Because of the amount of material we cover in class, we do recommend students to be comfortable using a video camera.
